BMW India has officially released its updated 7 Series and i7 luxury sedan range. A significant development is that India will now locally manufacture the BMW i7, making it the only country outside of Germany to do so.
The updated 7 Series starts with the 740i petrol model, alongside the electric i7 eDrive50 and the performance-oriented i7 M70 xDrive. The i7 models boast impressive ranges, with the i7 eDrive50 offering up to 728 km WLTP and the i7 M70 xDrive providing up to 686 km WLTP. Both electric variants support rapid 250kW DC fast charging, capable of adding significant range in minutes.
Inside, the new models feature BMW Panoramic iDrive with Operating System X, projecting information onto the windscreen via BMW Panoramic Vision and a 3D head-up display. The cabin includes a 17.9-inch central display and a new 14.6-inch passenger display. Rear occupants are treated to the expansive 31.3-inch 8K BMW Theatre Screen and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
