Bluetti has launched the Charger 2, a powerful new car charger capable of delivering a rapid 1200W to power stations. This represents a significant improvement, charging approximately ten times faster than using a vehicle's standard 12V cigarette lighter outlet. The Charger 2 also features reverse charging capabilities, allowing it to jump-start a vehicle or maintain its starter battery when connected to a compatible Bluetti power station.
The charger achieves its impressive 1200W output by combining power from the vehicle's alternator (up to 800W) and any connected solar panels (up to 400W). When stationary, it can utilize up to 600W of solar power to charge a power station without depleting the car's starter battery. Installation is designed to be straightforward for DIY enthusiasts, though adding solar panels or integrated DC hubs increases complexity.
The Charger 2 is compatible with most power stations for charging, but its reverse charging features are exclusive to Bluetti power stations. The device is available now for a CES special price of $349, increasing to $599 after February 7th. Bluetti is also offering Charger 1 owners a special upgrade price of $99 for three days.
