Summary
- BenQ W4100i offers rich colors and excellent contrast for home theaters.
- Setup is easy, but iPhone users must initiate with a Google login.
- Projector excels in contrast and gaming, but color vibrancy falls short of rivals.
The BenQ W4100i projector aims to bring the movie theater experience home, boasting rich colors and excellent contrast. It includes features like a filmmaker mode and 24P frame rate mode, appealing to cinephiles. Setup is largely straightforward, with Android TV integrated, though iPhone users must initiate the process via a Google login.
The projector offers 3,200 lumens of brightness and supports HDR10+. While its contrast is significantly better than some competitors, its color reproduction, particularly reds and yellows, doesn't quite match premium options like the Leica Cine Play 1 or Epson Lifestudio Grand Plus. However, it shines in darker scenes.
For gaming, the W4100i provides an immersive experience with high frame rates and exceptional clarity. Despite some minor color accuracy issues compared to top-tier projectors, its ease of use, enjoyable remote, and strong contrast make it a strong contender for home entertainment enthusiasts.
