Summary
- Projector offers excellent low-latency gaming performance.
- Movie and TV show picture quality is considered average.
- Short-throw design allows placement flexibility in rooms.
The BenQ TK705STi short-throw projector is primarily designed for gamers, boasting excellent low-latency performance that enhances the gaming experience significantly. Its short-throw ratio allows for flexible placement in different room sizes, making it adaptable for various home environments.
The projector's strengths lie in its responsiveness for gaming, providing immediate controller feedback and smooth gameplay, even at larger screen sizes and higher graphics settings. However, its performance for watching movies and TV shows is described as average, with limitations in contrast and color vibrancy compared to premium home cinema projectors.
While the setup is generally straightforward with Google TV integration, some users might encounter minor glitches like issues with auto-keystoning. The projector's built-in speakers are also noted as unimpressive, suggesting the use of external audio systems for a better viewing experience. Ultimately, the TK705STi is recommended for gamers who prioritize gaming performance over high-end cinema picture quality.
