Bajaj has launched the updated Pulsar N160 4V, enhancing the popular 160cc motorcycle with a new four-valve engine and a suite of advanced features. This upgrade aims to appeal to buyers seeking more performance and technology in the segment.
The new four-valve engine now produces 18.5 HP and 14.4 Nm of torque, offering a noticeable power increase over the two-valve version. Performance is delivered at higher engine speeds, with a claimed 0-60 kmph time of 4.5 seconds, making it quick in city conditions.
Feature highlights include ride-by-wire electronic throttle, multiple ride modes, a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and dual-channel ABS. These additions make the N160 4V a technologically advanced option, though the crawl tech and ABS intervention on the rear wheel could be improved.
The S variant, priced at approximately Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), is recommended for its balance of features and cost. The fully loaded version is around Rs 1.42 lakh, a premium that may be substantial when compared to rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, which offers a more responsive performance feel.
