Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud data centers in Bahrain have been impacted by disruptions attributed to drone activity in the region. The company confirmed that it is temporarily redirecting its customers to alternative AWS regions as a precautionary measure. The extent of the damage and the timeline for restoring full operations in Bahrain have not been disclosed by Amazon.
This disruption is not an isolated incident. On March 2, two AWS cloud data center clusters located in the United Arab Emirates experienced a loss of power following drone strikes originating from Iran. At that time, AWS also reported limited power issues affecting one of its clusters in Bahrain.
