3-Screen Laptop Mount Poses Finger Danger

Summary
- Triple monitor setup is heavy and expensive.
- Screens display poor color accuracy and brightness.
- Stand design poses a serious risk of finger injury.
The Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max aims to provide a portable triple-monitor experience with its three 15.6-inch 1080p displays and a foldable metal stand. This $599 setup utilizes daisy-chaining for video input via a single USB-C connection, though it requires a separate power adapter, which is helpfully included. While the stand is robust and can maintain various positions, a critical design flaw presents a significant safety concern. The adjustment mechanism can unexpectedly release, creating a scissoring motion that poses a severe risk of finger injury, especially given the setup's substantial 8-pound weight and top-heavy nature.
Beyond the safety issues, the displays themselves are underwhelming. None reached the advertised 350-nit brightness, topping out between 260 and 290 nits. Color accuracy was also a problem, with only 96% sRGB coverage and an average delta E 1976 of over 10, rendering them unsuitable for color-critical professional work. The white point was excessively cold, and the gamma curve distorted visuals. Consequently, despite its innovative concept, the Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max is not recommended due to its display quality and dangerous design.
