ATxSummit 2026, hosted in Singapore, commenced with a Gala Dinner at Gardens by the Bay, featuring President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The event gathered government leaders, international organizations, and industry experts to discuss advancements in technology.
A significant highlight was the AI Ready ASEAN Youth Challenge, showcasing 11 youth-developed AI projects aimed at societal improvement. These projects, selected from over 600 submissions, focused on healthcare, education, and community strengthening.
Top prizes were awarded to teams from Brunei, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Brunei's "ΣHAI" presented an AI dementia care platform, Cambodia's "Voha.ai" offered pronunciation assistance for hearing-impaired children, and Myanmar's "Future Flux" provided an offline AI education platform for rural students.
Preceding the summit, two MoUs were signed at the SingHealth AI in Health Symposium to advance AI-powered healthcare. These agreements aim to accelerate AI solutions for challenges like aging populations and chronic diseases.
One MoU between SingHealth and Bhutan's GCIT will promote responsible AI in healthcare, focusing on an AI-assisted Chest Radiograph model. Another between Singapore General Hospital and DxD Hub aims to fast-track AI-enabled diagnostics for market-ready solutions.
