Ather Energy has expanded its electric scooter lineup with the introduction of the Konarc, with prices beginning at Rs 1 lakh in Bengaluru. The initial S variants – S 100, S 125, and S 161 – boast claimed IDC ranges of 100km, 125km, and 161km, respectively. These models are built on Ather's EL platform, emphasizing ride comfort and practicality, featuring ample suspension travel and the longest wheelbase in Ather's current scooter range.
The Konarc is equipped with varying battery capacities, from 2.1kWh to 3.5kWh, and offers a peak power output of up to 4.7kW with 16Nm of torque. All S variants share a claimed top speed of 70kph. Charging options include a standard 450W onboard charger and an optional 900W off-board unit, enabling combined charging to significantly reduce recharge times. Practicality is enhanced by 31 litres of underseat storage and convenient features like a USB Type-C port and Park Assist.
Future Konarc Z variants are set to integrate advanced technology, including an Advanced Electronic Braking System (AEBS) for improved control and a MagicKey feature for keyless boot access via the Ather app. These higher-spec models will also support Google Maps and WhatsApp on the dashboard. Ather has extended the maintenance intervals for the Konarc to every 10,000km or one year, with deliveries scheduled to commence in September.
