Summary
- Tool-free design allows for easy drive bay access.
- Supports up to 52TB internal storage with large drives.
- Can expand storage significantly with optional expansion units.
The AS1202T Network Attached Storage device presents a user-friendly, tool-free enclosure that simplifies drive installation and access, employing thumbscrews for both the cover and drive retention.
Internally, it is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core ARM64 processor, paired with 1GB of non-expandable DDR4 RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage. This NAS supports 3.5-inch SATA drives, accommodating capacities of up to 26TB per drive, enabling a total on-board storage of 52TB.
For users requiring even greater storage, the AS1202T offers expandability through optional Asustor Xpanstor 4 units. Each expansion unit can contribute an additional 104TB when equipped with four 26TB drives, drastically increasing the total storage potential.
Supporting Btrfs and EXT4 file systems, the device is versatile in its data management capabilities. It allows for various storage configurations, including Single, JBOD, RAID 0, and RAID 1, providing flexibility for different user needs and data protection strategies.
