Asus has introduced the ProArt PZ14, a new 2-in-1 laptop that aims to compete with devices like the Microsoft Surface Pro. A key differentiator is that the PZ14 includes its detachable keyboard and stylus in the purchase price, unlike the Surface Pro which requires them as separate accessories. This portable workstation is designed for creators, weighing just 1.7 pounds and measuring 0.35 inches thick.
The ProArt PZ14 features a vibrant 14-inch OLED display with a 3K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, offering excellent color accuracy and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for HDR content. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, complemented by up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, providing robust performance for demanding creative tasks.
While lacking an integrated kickstand and potentially offering less stability than a Surface Pro, the PZ14 includes two USB 4.0 Type-C ports, an SD card reader, and a 3-month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Built to US Military Grade MIL-STD 810H standards, it also boasts IP52 dust and splash resistance. The ProArt PZ14 is slated for release in Q2 2026.
