ASUS has introduced a beta BIOS, version 2305, for its ROG Crosshair X870E Series motherboards, enabling support for AMD's upcoming EXPO Ultra Low Latency (ULL) memory profiles. This update aims to enhance gaming performance by automatically optimizing memory tuning and overclocking. AMD suggests this feature could yield an average improvement of 4% in frames per second over standard EXPO profiles.
The ULL profiles were announced by AMD as part of their EXPO 1.2 update at Computex 2026. To utilize these advanced capabilities, users require compatible memory, motherboards, and BIOS versions. The new beta BIOS is available for various ROG Crosshair X870E models and requires AGESA ComboAM5 1.3.0.1b firmware.
While compatible EXPO ULL memory kits are anticipated to arrive from manufacturers before the end of June 2026, their pricing has not yet been disclosed. Enthusiasts can also access low-level memory timing controls, such as Tccd_L, within the ASUS BIOS Ai Tweaker and DRAM Timing Control sections, offering further manual performance tuning options.
