At Gamescom 2026, ASUS launched its latest range of gaming monitors, the Ace collection, targeting professional esports players. These new displays emphasize high-refresh rate OLED panels, delivering superior color performance and sharp motion clarity essential for fast-paced competitive gaming.
The flagship ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace boasts a groundbreaking 720Hz refresh rate powered by a Tandem 1080p WOLED panel. It also offers a peak brightness of up to 1,700 nits and Dolby Vision support for HDR content. A unique feature, the "Position Sensor," measures monitor height and tilt, displaying this information onscreen for easy setup replication, especially useful for players who travel.
ASUS is also introducing two other models with QD-OLED panels: the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace and ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace. The XG259QDPG offers a 560Hz refresh rate and incorporates ASUS' "BlackShield" film and an anti-glare coating to enhance perceived black levels by up to 40% and increase panel hardness. The XG259QDNS, with a 360Hz refresh rate, features the same protective treatments but is positioned as a more affordable option.
These 24.5-inch monitors build upon ASUS' previous OLED offerings, providing a more portable size compared to their larger 27-inch predecessors. The ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace is set to launch in early Q4 for $1,099, with the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace priced at $699. A release date and price for the ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace have not yet been announced.
