On November 18, 2025, Apple released a series of software updates that give users more control over the Liquid Glass design feature across their devices. The iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.1 updates introduce a new toggle that allows users to apply a tint to Liquid Glass, reducing its transparency and increasing the overall contrast.
Prior to these updates, the only way to adjust the Liquid Glass effect was to reduce the overall screen transparency. The new tinting option provides a more targeted solution, enabling users to fine-tune the look and feel of various menus, screens, and other interface elements.
In addition to the Liquid Glass customization, the latest updates also bring several other improvements. These include expanded Live Translation support for additional languages, a new "Slide to Stop" alarm feature, and enhancements to the Music player that make it easier to skip between tracks. The updates also address a range of security vulnerabilities across various Apple apps and services.
