Apple Watch Works With Android!
26 Sep
Summary
- Merge Watch app enables Apple Watch pairing with Android.
- Activation requires an initial iPhone setup.
- Health data syncs to Google Fit.
The Apple Watch, a polished smartwatch experience, can now be paired with Android devices thanks to the Merge Watch app. Previously, using an Apple Watch with an Android phone was impossible, and an iPhone was required for its functionality. This workaround allows users to connect their Apple Watch to an Android phone after an initial activation process with an iPhone.
The process involves installing the Merge Watch app on both the Apple Watch and the Android device. Following installation, users grant necessary permissions and pair the devices by confirming a code. Health data from the Apple Watch is then synced with Google Fit on the Android phone, establishing connectivity between the two devices.
