Apple's Liquid Glass: Refined, Not Removed
10 May
Summary
- Apple will not reverse its Liquid Glass feature, focusing instead on refinement.
- Future iOS and iPadOS versions will see interface tweaks for polish.
- The company aims for a cleaner software experience in upcoming updates.
Apple has confirmed that its Liquid Glass feature is not being removed but will instead undergo refinement. This decision means users hoping for a reversal of the technology will not see it happen. The company acknowledges existing issues, such as transparency problems and shadows that can make text difficult to read on desktop interfaces.
Future software updates, including iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, are anticipated to incorporate various interface adjustments. These changes are characterized as refinements and cleanups rather than dramatic overhauls. This aligns with Apple's current strategic focus on enhancing the overall polish and user experience of its software ecosystem.
