In India, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip now retails for ₹2,99,900, a notable rise from its original ₹2,49,900 price. The 13-inch iPad Air experienced an even sharper increase, with its starting price jumping 41.22% to ₹1,19,900 from ₹84,900.
Apple explained that the surge in demand for memory and storage, driven by the rapid expansion of AI data centers, has led to unprecedented increases in component pricing. The company stated that while they had absorbed these costs previously, they now must pass some of them on to customers.
