Apple's Rapid Fixes: 3 Security Updates in 3 Weeks!
19 Aug
Summary
- Nearly 30 vulnerabilities fixed across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
- Most flaws related to WebKit, impacting Safari's security.
- This marks the third security release from Apple in three weeks.

Apple has issued critical security updates for iOS 26.6.1, iPadOS 26.6.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.6.2, patching close to 30 vulnerabilities. This rapid release is the third security update within the past three weeks, signaling an accelerated pace in addressing security issues.
The majority of the vulnerabilities fixed are tied to WebKit, the rendering engine behind Safari. These flaws could lead to Safari crashes when encountering maliciously crafted web content, stemming from memory handling and input validation issues.
Additional fixes include an audio vulnerability allowing sensitive data leaks, a code execution flaw, and kernel vulnerabilities. For iOS users, a specific telephony bug that could compromise IPSec authentication has also been addressed.
While none of the patched vulnerabilities are known to have been exploited yet, users are strongly advised to update promptly. For older devices unable to run the latest versions, Apple has also provided updates for iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10.
