Apple's Foldable iPhone: What's in a Name?

Apple's highly anticipated foldable iPhone name remains under wraps, with the official reveal expected at the company's "Surprise and Shine" event tomorrow. Speculation is rife, with "iPhone Ultra" being a frequently mentioned internal name, though its fit is debated given the device's projected specifications. Other proposed names such as iPhone Duo and iPhone Folio have also surfaced in discussions. Names strongly associated with folding phones, like iPhone Fold, are considered improbable. Apple might leverage existing naming conventions, potentially using "Plus" or "Max," or explore branding within the "iPhone Air" family, considering its slim profile. Names like iPhone Air Max, iPhone Air Pro, or iPhone Air Plus are being considered, though "Air Max" faces potential branding conflicts. The final decision is anticipated to align with Apple's marketing strategy for showcasing the foldable device's capabilities.
