Summary
- Apex Legends support ends for original Nintendo Switch in August 2026.
- Player progress and purchases will transfer to the Nintendo Switch 2.
- The game launched on Switch in 2021, three years after its initial release.

Apex Legends is set to conclude its support for the original Nintendo Switch in the summer of 2026. The final update for the popular battle royale game on the current Switch model will be Season 29, with support officially ending on August 4, 2026.
This transition means that players on the original Switch will need to consider moving to a different platform. Fortunately, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that all player progress, in-game purchases, and earned items, including Apex Coins and cosmetic items, are tied to individual EA accounts. These will be fully transferable to the Nintendo Switch 2.
The game initially arrived on the Nintendo Switch in 2021, several years after its debut on other platforms. While the move to Switch 2 promises a significantly enhanced gaming experience, it marks the end of an era for dedicated Apex Legends players on the original Switch.
