Anthropic Launches AI Agent for Professionals

Anthropic has announced Claude Duet, an AI agent designed to assist professionals and small business owners. This new tool is launching as a research preview and is accessible via standalone iOS and Android apps, as well as through Claude on the web.

Built upon Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Duet integrates memory, skills, and connected applications. It features a virtual machine equipped with a browser, enabling it to perform various work-related tasks. Before executing critical actions such as payments or deletions, the agent seeks user approval. A dedicated safety system is in place to prevent the disclosure of highly sensitive information.

Anthropic cautions that Claude Duet is an early version and may occasionally misinterpret messages or task urgency. It is also noted to be less effective for personal errands like booking tickets. To try Claude Duet, interested individuals in the US can join a waitlist, provided they are Pro or Max subscribers.
