The government initially mandated the suspension of foreign nationals' access to these models.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has now determined that sufficient safeguards are in place for trusted partners. He indicated that Anthropic has committed to working with the government on protocols and standards for its AI releases. While Mythos 5's access is resuming for over 100 institutions, Anthropic is also in discussions regarding the potential return of Fable 5.
