AMD Strikes Back at Nvidia with New AI Superchip

AMD also introduced its Venice-X CPU, aimed at data centers and high-computing workloads, scheduled for launch in 2027.
AMD's Chair and CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, projected significant growth in the AI chip sector. She estimated that by 2030, the AI accelerator market will reach approximately $1.4 trillion, nearly matching the size of the entire current semiconductor market. GPUs are expected to dominate this market due to the evolving nature of AI algorithms and workloads, favoring programmability.
