Amazon Luna Drops Game Integrations
10 Apr
Summary
- Amazon is ending all third-party integrations on Luna.
- Ubisoft+ and Jackbox games are no longer purchasable.
- BYOL library access ceases by June 3rd.

Amazon has announced significant changes to its Luna cloud gaming service, ending support for all third-party integrations. As of an unspecified recent date, users can no longer purchase Ubisoft+ and Jackbox Games subscriptions or individual titles via Luna. Active subscriptions bought through Luna will be canceled at the end of the current billing cycle. For those who subscribed directly to Ubisoft+, access to games on Luna will continue until June 10th.
The "Bring Your Own Library" (BYOL) feature, which permitted playing owned games from EA, GOG, and Ubisoft on Luna, is being removed. Users will lose access to these games through Amazon's service after June 3rd. Any games purchased outright on Luna will remain playable until June 10th, but unlike Google's Stadia shutdown, Amazon is not providing refunds for these direct purchases. However, players can still access their purchased games through their respective linked third-party platforms, such as the EA App, GOG Galaxy, or Ubisoft Connect.
These changes affect players who relied on Luna for demanding games due to less powerful personal systems, potentially necessitating a move to services like GeForce Now. Amazon has been restructuring Luna, introducing a revamped service focused on party games like GameNight in October. Prime subscribers will continue to receive PC game claims and access to Luna Standard tier games at no additional cost, with Luna Premium still available for a wider selection of titles.
