Summary
- Amazon's Health AI expands from One Medical to most customers.
- The AI answers health questions and offers wellness guidance.
- It can also help with prescription refills and connecting to doctors.

Amazon is significantly expanding access to its virtual health assistant, Health AI, making it available to most of its customers. This feature, initially limited to One Medical members, will now be accessible through the Amazon app and website, with a rollout expected over the next few weeks for all US customers. Health AI is designed to answer general health inquiries and provide personalized wellness advice based on a user's health history, medications, and conditions. Users can optionally grant access to their medical records for more tailored responses. The service also integrates with Amazon Pharmacy for prescription refills and can connect users with One Medical doctors through various communication channels. Despite the convenience, users are cautioned to treat AI-generated health advice with caution and always consult a healthcare provider. Amazon states Health AI is HIPAA-compliant and will defer to human providers for uncertain clinical recommendations, also enabling connections to specialists when needed. Prime members can receive a limited offer of five free direct-message consultations with a One Medical provider. Beyond this, telehealth sessions cost $29, with annual One Medical memberships available for $99.
