Summary
- New Fire TV Stick 4K Select is over half price at £23.99.
- The new Vega OS on Fire Stick blocks illegal streaming apps.
- Other Fire TV devices also see significant Black Friday discounts.

Amazon has initiated its Black Friday sale with substantial discounts on its popular Fire Stick devices, offering significant savings for consumers. The newest Fire TV Stick 4K Select has seen its price slashed by more than half, making it the most affordable 4K streaming stick Amazon has ever offered at £23.99.
This latest model introduces Amazon's proprietary Vega operating system, replacing the Android base. This change grants Amazon greater control over app distribution, effectively blocking illegal streaming applications. This move aims to enhance user safety by preventing access to potentially harmful apps linked to scams and piracy, such as those offering unauthorized access to premium content.
Alongside the flagship 4K Select, other Fire TV products are also part of the sale. The main Fire TV Stick 4K is reduced to £29.99, the 4K Max to £39.99, and the Fire TV Cube to £109.99. While VPN support is not yet available on the new model, Amazon has indicated that services like NordVPN will be added soon.
