Amazon's AI Hosts Now Answer Your Shopping Questions!

Amazon's mobile app now offers an enhanced "Hear the Highlights" AI feature, allowing users to engage in real-time question-and-answer sessions with AI-generated product reviewers. Previously, these audio summaries were based on fixed scripts.

This new functionality enables the AI hosts, a "host" and an "expert," to adapt their dialogue. Shoppers can interrupt the AI broadcasters by tapping a raised hand icon. Their questions, submitted via voice or text, will be addressed by the AI hosts between segments of their original script.

The feature is now accessible for millions of products directly within the Amazon app. A dedicated button appears beneath the product image for supported listings, launching a brief AI-generated audio summary, typically one to two minutes long.
