Artificial Intelligence is set to revolutionize healthcare, making it more accessible, affordable, and efficient while significantly advancing medical research and patient care. Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy highlighted that AI should be viewed as a supportive tool for healthcare professionals, enhancing diagnostic capabilities and treatment outcomes.

The integration of AI is already transforming various medical fields, including drug discovery, radiology, and telemedicine. Notably, AI has drastically reduced the timeline for discovering new drugs, shortening a process that once took decades to mere years. This acceleration points towards a major transformation in pharmaceutical research within the next decade.

Dr. Reddy also noted that AI's adoption among medical practitioners is progressing slowly, predicting that "doctors who know how to use AI will replace those who don't." Furthermore, AI holds potential in addressing the growing burden of fatty liver disease through affordable screening and improving clinical documentation and CT scan analysis.
