Bengaluru-based Runable has successfully raised $21 million in a Series A funding round, co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners. Founded in 2025, the startup is pivoting from AI infrastructure to a general-purpose AI agent designed to help small businesses find customers and achieve growth. This strategic shift has propelled Runable from zero to a $2 million annualized revenue run rate within three weeks of launching payments in March.
Runable's AI agent assists users in generating content like websites and presentations through natural language prompts. Crucially, the startup is now extending its capabilities to the "grow" side of business, aiming to manage ad campaigns, social media, SEO, and optimize online presence. The ultimate goal is to enable small business owners to request a specific number of customers, rather than navigating complex setup processes for multiple marketing tools.
Currently serving approximately 1.7 million registered users, with the U.S., UK, and Japan as primary markets, Runable faces the challenge of differentiating itself as AI model providers develop their own agents. However, Runable's strength lies in its end-to-end solution for small businesses, encompassing infrastructure, analytics, and distribution. While the company acknowledges negative gross margins due to subsidizing AI usage, it anticipates improved economics as inference costs decrease.
