OpenAI's head of Sora, Bill Peebles, indicated that the company's GPUs are "melting" and that free access to Sora will now be capped at six video generations per day. While premium ChatGPT Plus and Pro accounts remain unaffected, users can purchase additional generations. Google's nano banana pro has similarly seen its free daily image generation limit reduced from three to two, with further variable limits on Gemini 3 Pro.
The previous version, nano banana (2.5), still allows 100 free images daily. These adjustments reflect the growing popularity and intensive resource requirements of advanced AI content creation tools, as more users engage with these platforms. Google has not yet provided an official comment on the changes to its Gemini services.
