An AI coding assistant was utilized by a writer to develop a custom website aimed at simplifying the house-hunting process. The website addresses the challenge of determining proximity to public transit stops from potential homes. By interacting with the AI through natural language, the writer was able to create a functional tool that pulls listing data and displays walking times.
This AI-powered project involved troubleshooting and refining the code, including integrating with APIs like Redfin. The resulting website provides users with key details about homes and their distance to transit. The experience highlighted AI's potential to empower individuals without traditional programming backgrounds to build personalized applications.
