Acer's Chromebook Plus Spin 514, a flexible 2-in-1 laptop and tablet, is currently available for a record low price of $499. This offer, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is exclusively at Best Buy and concludes today, February 18th.
Equipped with a Kompanio Ultra 910 processor, the 14-inch device delivers robust performance for everyday use. Testing confirmed its ability to handle multiple applications and numerous browser tabs smoothly. Users can expect extended battery life, lasting through a full workday and beyond. The vibrant 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen impresses with its fluid 120Hz refresh rate.
It also includes a comfortable keyboard and a 5MP webcam suitable for video calls. While the USI 2.0 stylus is supported for note-taking and sketching, it must be purchased separately. The primary limitation is the audio quality, described as muddy, suggesting the use of external speakers or headphones. Despite this, the Chromebook Plus Spin 514 offers substantial capability for its cost.
