The highly anticipated 2026 version of Nissan's electric SUV, the Ariya, is scheduled for release in June. This refreshed model builds upon the original Ariya launched in 2021.
The new Ariya will be available with two battery choices: the Engage+ with a 63kWh battery, starting at £37,000, which is £500 less than the current model. The Advance model offers a larger 87kWh battery and begins at £43,425. It is anticipated that the Ariya will qualify for the UK Government's Electric Car Grant, potentially reducing the price by £1,500.
Visually, the 2026 Ariya boasts a sleek exterior design inspired by Nissan's "timeless Japanese futurism." Inside, a redesigned central console integrates extensive touch controls, and the Nissan Connect system now supports Google.
Drivers can expect the first deliveries by September. The updated Ariya promises an enhanced, smoother ride with improved suspension for greater stability and reduced vibrations, alongside optimized, rapid charging capabilities.
