Zoe Atkin secured Great Britain's fifth medal of their record-breaking Winter Olympics, claiming bronze in the women's ski halfpipe in Livigno on Sunday. The 23-year-old qualified in first place, demonstrating strong form. However, she ultimately finished third, matching her sister Izzy's ski slopestyle bronze from 2018.
The competition, postponed from Saturday evening due to heavy snow, saw bright sunshine greet the athletes on Sunday. Atkin's medal means Team GB has now matched their previous best haul of five medals from the 2014 and 2018 Games, with three golds making this their most successful Olympics.
Atkin, born in the US but representing Great Britain through her father, entered the Games as a strong contender, having won the world halfpipe title in 2025 and superpipe gold at the X Games recently. Despite a strong start in the final, Chinese duo Eileen Gu and Li Fanghui ultimately secured the gold and silver medals respectively.
