Zion Williamson's Career Hobbled Again by Injury

Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans will be sidelined for a considerable period due to a recent right adductor injury. The star forward is scheduled for re-evaluation in approximately three weeks, according to reports. This latest ailment adds to a growing list of injuries that have hampered his career since entering the league.

Williamson sustained the injury during the Pelicans' November 29th loss to the Golden State Warriors. While initially not considered serious, his absence from subsequent games, including a notable one against the Los Angeles Lakers, highlighted the severity. He had only recently returned from a two-week absence for a hamstring issue, playing in five of the team's last seven games.

Throughout his seven-year career, Williamson has struggled with consistent availability, playing over 60 games in only two seasons. Despite these challenges, he has demonstrated impressive performance when healthy, averaging over 22 points per game this season. The Pelicans will navigate at least nine upcoming games without their star player.
