Zimbabwe Cricket has unveiled its 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. The team will be under the experienced leadership of all-rounder Sikandar Raza, who continues as captain. The selectors have largely maintained a consistent group, with the significant inclusion of fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, who has now fully recovered from injury.
Muzarabani's return bolsters the pace attack, which also includes left-arm bowler Richard Ngarava and other promising fast bowlers. The spin department features seasoned campaigners Graeme Cremer and Wellington Masakadza. Exciting young batters Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani are poised to make their mark on the T20 World Cup stage, alongside the experienced wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor.
Zimbabwe has been drawn into Group B, where their opponents will be Australia, Ireland, Oman, and co-host Sri Lanka. The team's campaign begins on February 9 against Oman in Colombo, followed by matches against Australia, Ireland, and Sri Lanka. The top two teams from this group will advance to the Super Eight stage of the tournament.
