The Wright State Raiders men's basketball team's season opener against Air Force, scheduled for November 2, has officially sold out. This marks an unprecedented level of fan support, with Athletics Director Brad Chandler noting the Nutter Center will be the place to be for college basketball's opening night.
Wright State distributed 5,000 tickets to military personnel in September to ensure a large crowd for the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic. This event aims to honor Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the U.S. Air Force, veterans, and active-duty military, drawing fans from across the Miami Valley for a special evening.
The Nutter Center, which seats 8,000 fans for basketball, is expected to be filled. Ticket holders will receive a free Vintage Rowdy T-shirt. This follows a strong attendance average of 3,562 fans in the 2025-26 season, which was the highest in the Horizon League.
