WPL History: Rana's 32-run over shatters records
11 Jan
Summary
- Sneh Rana bowled the WPL's most expensive over, conceding 32 runs.
- Gujarat Giants' Sophie Devine hit six boundaries, including four sixes.
- This surpasses Deepti Sharma's previous record of 28 runs.

Sneh Rana of the Delhi Capitals etched her name into the Women's Premier League (WPL) record books on Sunday, bowling the most expensive over in the tournament's history. The incident unfolded during the match against Gujarat Giants at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Rana conceded a remarkable 32 runs in a single over, primarily due to the aggressive batting of Gujarat Giants opener Sophie Devine. Devine unleashed a barrage of boundaries, hitting two fours and an astonishing four consecutive sixes against the Indian off-spinner.
This costly over by Rana surpassed the previous WPL record of 28 runs, set by Deepti Sharma while playing for UP Warriorz against Royal Challengers Bengaluru last season. Sharma's record-breaking over also featured a flurry of sixes and fours.
