2 Jul
Summary
- USMNT match tickets surged dramatically before kickoff.
- Belgium-Senegal tickets were the second cheapest for round of 32.
- Mexico's game against Ecuador had the highest ticket price.
Ticket prices for the United States men's national team's round of 32 World Cup match against Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a sharp increase shortly before the game on Wednesday.
Five hours before kickoff, the lowest available ticket price was $1,818, marking a 20% rise in just five hours and a 25% increase from early morning prices. Despite recent fluctuations, including a dip to $1,326 on the previous day, the average price had still risen by 7% over three days.
This surge contrasts sharply with other round of 32 matches. The game between Belgium and Senegal in Seattle had a get-in price of $444 an hour before kickoff, making it the second-cheapest ticket in the round of 32. Only the Algeria vs. Switzerland match in Vancouver was cheaper.
The highest get-in price for a round of 32 match was $1,999 for Mexico's victory over Ecuador. However, Argentina's upcoming match against Cabo Verde in Miami, which had reached $3,485, was currently priced at $1,987. The USMNT's game was the third most expensive, ahead of Croatia versus Portugal in Toronto.
