Conversely, FIFA maintains its official ticketing platform is operating reliably and that issues on third-party sites are not due to its infrastructure. FIFA has also faced criticism for its dynamic pricing strategy and the 30% commission on its official resale platform, which often makes tickets more expensive than on other sites.

Following public outcry and viral social media complaints, StubHub has begun offering resolutions, including complimentary tickets and compensation for replacement tickets purchased by affected customers. The company has also established a dedicated World Cup support team to manage the ongoing situation.
