FOX One, the streaming service from Fox Corporation, is launching a partnership with Delta to broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This collaboration will allow passengers on domestic Delta flights to stream the entire tournament live, from its opening match on June 11 to the final on July 19. The service will be accessible through Delta Sync, enabling fans to follow all the action while in the air.
This initiative aims to capitalize on the high engagement of live sports among airline passengers. Julieta McCurry, vice president of in-flight entertainment and connectivity, highlighted the communal aspect of live sports. Starting in May, SkyMiles members can enjoy a 24-hour free trial of FOX One by logging into Delta's Wi-Fi. Additionally, members have opportunities to use their miles for exclusive experiences, including behind-the-scenes access to World Cup coverage and meet-and-greets with FOX Sports talent, as well as redeem miles for a six-month FOX One subscription.
Fans will have multiple ways to engage with the World Cup content. While watching live on the seatback FOX channel, viewers can simultaneously use FOX One on their personal devices for real-time statistics, alternative camera angles, and instant replays. The on-demand nature of FOX One also ensures that passengers boarding mid-game can start watching from the beginning.
