Monds, originally part of the 2028 class, reclassified and is now considered one of the nation's top uncommitted quarterbacks.
His recruitment has come down to three finalists: Florida State, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. The Seminoles offered Monds a scholarship in June 2024 and have hosted him for multiple visits. Despite FSU's sustained interest and proximity, and Ohio State already securing a quarterback commit, recent indications point towards Notre Dame holding the advantage. Monds' most recent visit was to Notre Dame, which has led to several recruiting predictions favoring the Fighting Irish.
During his freshman season, Monds demonstrated significant talent, completing 67.5% of his passes for 2,234 yards and 23 touchdowns, while also contributing 502 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. His sophomore year, though limited by injury, saw him complete 71.4% of his passes for 691 yards and seven touchdowns in five games. Over 30 programs extended scholarship offers to Monds, recognizing his potential as a difference-maker.
