WNBA Shake-Up: Every Team's Key Change!

The WNBA's 2026 season is poised for potential shifts as the second half commences, with teams identifying key changes to influence outcomes. The Atlanta Dream are focused on defining Brionna Jones' role alongside Angel Reese, examining their on-court synergy.

The Chicago Sky are urged to trade veteran guard Jacy Sheldon to improve their roster. Meanwhile, the Connecticut Sun are advised to prioritize youth development, potentially by trading Kennedy Burke to give more minutes to players like Gianna Kneepkens.

The Dallas Wings should increase Awak Kuier's playing time, especially alongside Jessica Shepard, to improve their net rating. Golden State Valkyries' Janelle Salaun needs more minutes to bolster offensive spacing, potentially even starting.

Indiana Fever's Kelsey Mitchell should handle the ball more, with Caitlin Clark playing off-ball to diversify their offense. The Las Vegas Aces need to replace struggling starter Stephanie Talbot, likely through trades.

The Los Angeles Sparks are considering trades to focus on the future, while the Minnesota Lynx should integrate EuroLeague MVP Dorka Juhasz more into their lineup. New York Liberty might trade a backup wing like Betnijah Laney-Hamilton for draft assets.

Phoenix Mercury face an era-defining challenge, needing radical roster reshaping and a focus on young international talent. Portland Fire is encouraged to trade Bridget Carleton for future assets and a young player.

Seattle Storm, in rebuild mode, may explore trading Ezi Magbegor given their young bigs. Toronto Tempo should focus on development, particularly for Kiki Rice, and consider trading veterans for draft picks.

Finally, the Washington Mystics aim to solidify their playoff spot by adding a wing to their strong core of Iriafen, Citron, and Austin.
