WNBA Legends Cooper & Weatherspoon Captain All-Star Teams

The WNBA is celebrating its 30th anniversary by bringing back two iconic figures for its All-Star Game. Legends Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon, who famously competed in the league's first championship series, served as guest general managers and captains for this year's event. Their selections were guided by pre-determined starters and reserves, with starters chosen by fan, media, and player votes, and reserves selected by head coaches. A coin flip determined team assignments for the top two fan-vote getters, Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark.

Team Coop, coached by Becky Hammon, features a guard-heavy roster with a distinct advantage in three-point shooting. This team is built for versatility, with players capable of shooting from various positions. Clutch performers like Paige Bueckers and Sonia Citron are expected to be key assets in close games.
