Wizards Land Tar Heels Buzzer-Beater Star

The Washington Wizards have officially signed Seth Trimble, an undrafted guard from North Carolina. Trimble spent all four of his collegiate seasons with the Tar Heels, averaging 14.0 points and 3.8 rebounds during his senior year. His notable collegiate achievement was sinking a game-winning buzzer-beater in North Carolina's 71-68 win over Duke in February. Trimble is expected to be part of the Wizards' Summer League team, typically under an Exhibit-10 contract.

This signing marks the second undrafted free agent acquisition for the Wizards recently. They also signed Auburn forward KeShawn Murphy to an Exhibit-10 deal earlier this week, indicating a strategy to recruit promising talent outside the main draft. Trimble was recognized as the No. 78 player on ESPN's 2026 big board.
