Wizards Star Coulibaly Now a Restricted Free Agent

Bilal Coulibaly, the Washington Wizards' 22-year-old wing, has officially entered restricted free agency after the deadline to sign a rookie-scale contract extension passed. Selected seventh overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, Coulibaly has showcased considerable defensive talent. His impressive wingspan, ranking in the 99th percentile for guards, allows him to effectively disrupt opponent offenses and deny shots.

Coulibaly averaged 11.7 points and 4.3 rebounds last season. His defensive contributions were substantial, with strong rankings in steals, blocks, and deflections per game. He has proven capable of defending opposing teams' top offensive threats, even limiting Giannis Antetokounmpo to just 13 points in a prior matchup. Coach Keefe highlighted Coulibaly's unique defensive presence and his ability to pressure the rim as invaluable assets to the team's roster.
