Four-star center Jack Thelen, a notable riser in the 2027 recruiting cycle, has decommitted from the Wisconsin Badgers. Thelen, who had committed on June 13th, is ranked as the No. 107 player overall and the No. 1 center in Minnesota. His decision was announced on Wednesday, causing surprise for the program.
At 7-foot-1 and 240 pounds, Thelen was recognized as ESPN's No. 14 center. While possessing high upside, his development needs might have been a factor in today's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) landscape. This move leaves Wisconsin with a recruiting class ranked No. 23, featuring four-star commits Jalen Brown and Baboucarr Ann.
