Youth golfers in Washington can now play a round of golf for as little as $5. This incredibly low rate is available to individuals aged 6 to 18 through WA Golf's Youth on Course program. The initiative has seen remarkable growth, now operating at 86 golf courses across the state and becoming one of Washington's largest youth sports programs.
As of 2026, the program boasts over 16,000 members who have played an estimated 65,000 rounds in 2025. The program, which began in 2016 with just 300 participants, offers annual memberships for $25. These memberships include a GHIN Handicap Index and access to the GHIN mobile app.
Adding to the accessibility, Topgolf has partnered with Youth on Course for the summer. From July 1 to September 3, active members can reserve an hour-long bay for $5 on weekdays until noon at Topgolf locations nationwide. The nearest Topgolf to South Sound golfers is in Renton.
The program is supported by notable figures like former Seahawks receiver Jermaine Kearse and PGA Tour golfer Andrew Putnam, who advocate for expanding golf access to younger generations.
