Washington State Taps Moore for New Era

Washington State has officially named Moore as its new head football coach, signaling a significant shift for the program. Moore arrives in Pullman after a successful stint as the offensive coordinator at Missouri, where he was instrumental in the Tigers' 29 wins over three seasons, culminating in an 11-2 record in 2023. This appointment marks a new chapter for Washington State as they enter the revamped Pac-12 conference.

Moore expressed his excitement about becoming a first-time head coach at Washington State, calling it a dream come true. His coaching journey began at the College of Idaho before a graduate assistant role at Washington and subsequent positions at Fresno State. There, he progressed from wide receivers coach to offensive coordinator under notable coaches like Jeff Tedford and Kalen DeBoer.

Growing up in Prosser, Washington, Moore has deep roots in the state, having played high school football for his father and alongside his brother, Kellen Moore, who is currently the head coach of the New Orleans Saints. This homecoming adds a personal narrative to his arrival as the fifth head coach for Washington State since 2019.
