The Washington Huskies women's basketball team, currently ranked No. 16, has added Tilda Trygger from NC State via the transfer portal. Coach Tina Langley highlighted the team's careful consideration of transfer portal additions, ensuring they meet both program needs and cultural fit. Trygger, a 6-foot-6 Swedish center, brings an impressive stat line of 10.6 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game from her sophomore season with the Wolfpack.
Langley expressed excitement about Trygger's versatile skills, noting her ability to play facing the basket or with her back to it. The addition fills a critical need at center following Yulia Grabovskaia's graduation. Her presence is anticipated to elevate the Huskies' performance as they prepare for a competitive Big Ten season and aim to host an NCAA Regional.
